    • Sexual Harassment. Sexual harassment can leave you feeling powerless, but there are employment laws designed to protect you. Any unwanted sexual advance that may be used as a condition of employment, creates a hostile work environment, or is used for making employment decisions can be considered sexual harassment.
    • Family Medical Leave Act. Your company must follow the FMLA, which is a federal law. Eligible employees have the right to take unpaid leave with the right to return to their job for certain reasons. These reasons include serious illness or health conditions, maternity/paternity leave, and military duty family issues. In Florida, the FMLA also covers domestic violence leave.
    • Whistleblower Laws. You cannot be fired for speaking out against illegal activity in your workplace, discrimination, or other injustice. There are whistleblower laws in place to protect your rights, and our employment and labor attorneys can explain these to you in detail.
