Biography Overview

Raymond Tamayo is originally from Houston, TX, but went to school in the Northeast where he acquired his undergraduate degree from Boston University and a law degree from New England Law.  In law school, he participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition and had the distinction of representing the Northeast region of the United States in the international competition in Washington D.C.

After law school, he relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he had the honor and privilege of representing the State of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office.  Thereafter, he spent several years at a real estate law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida.  For family reasons, he relocated back to the Northeast, and during that time acquired his Massachusetts and New Hampshire bar licenses.  He is also admitted to the Middle District of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

With a desire to return to Florida, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where he now works for Morgan & Morgan in the Government Action arm of the firm’s Complex Litigation Group.  In his free time, Mr. Tamayo enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
