Lauren Pozna was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2015, Lauren graduated Cum Laude from the Jesup Scott Honors College at the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing. As an undergraduate, Lauren worked hard to maintain her standing on the Dean’s List and was involved in several groups on campus – she was a member of the SHARP UT Investment group, a clinician with the Perceptual Motor Development program, and a volunteer note-taker for Student Disability Services. In 2019, Lauren received her Masters in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Toledo. While she was driven to succeed in her legal education, Lauren was also deeply committed to making a difference at the UT College of Law. Lauren was elected as Treasurer and Vice President of her Student Bar Association, student head of her College’s Admissions Committee, and received several Student Involvement Awards in recognition of her efforts at the College of Law. Lauren also became a member of the legal fraternity, Delta Theta Phi, and spent her Saturdays in the courtroom as a member of the UT Trial Team. In 2018, she was inducted into the National Order of Barristers for her trial advocacy skills.
Lauren Pozna began her legal career working as an intern for the City of Toledo, where she was involved in drafting legislation and managing various government programs to bring about positive change in the Toledo community. In 2017, Lauren became a certified legal intern with the Supreme Court of Ohio and accepted a position with the Toledo Prosecutor’s Office. This internship allowed Lauren to gain valuable trial and appellate experience. During her time with the Prosecutor’s Office, Lauren was asked to be the treasurer on a local judge’s campaign committee. Throughout law school, Lauren also maintained a position as a professional legal researcher and student representative for LexisNexis, a leading global provider of legal information and analytics.
In the summer of 2018, Lauren Pozna became the first legal intern at Morgan & Morgan’s Sarasota office, where she learned the ins and outs of personal injury law from some of Sarasota’s most impressive trial lawyers. Lauren went on to pass the Florida Bar Exam and was sworn in as an Officer of the Court by the Honorable Judge Charles E. Williams of Florida’s 12th Judicial Circuit.
Today, Lauren Pozna lives in Sarasota, Florida and works as a personal injury trial lawyer with Morgan & Morgan. She prides herself on developing strong relationships in the legal community and fighting hard for the justice her injured clients deserve. She is a member of the American Association for Justice and an active parishioner of her local church. When she’s not in the courtroom, you can find Lauren volunteering at her local soup kitchen, exercising at the park with her dog, or enjoying time with her friends and family on the beach. She is proud to be FOR THE PEOPLE.
