April Michelle Meeks is from the small town of Greenwood, South Carolina. She lived there until her family moved to Bonaire, Georgia where she attended Warner Robins High School.
Ms. Meeks received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2013 from Valdosta State University. While at Valdosta State, Ms. Meeks competed on the school’s cross country team.
In 2017, Ms. Meeks graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law with the highest distinction in pro bono hours. While in law school, Ms. Meeks was a member of the school’s mock trial team and Symposium Editor of Law Review. She was also a treasurer (2017) and auction co-chair (2016) of the school’s Public Interest Law Association. In her last year of law school, Ms. Meeks was accepted to participate in Georgia State Univeristy’s Bleckley Inn of Court.
In her free time, Ms. Meeks can be seen running around Atlanta with her pup, Wylie.
