Liability Insurance

For active amateur athletes, it is often advisable to have some sort of sports accident insurance. As is the case with any type of insurance, the level of coverage is determined by the amount paid per month. Basic insurance covers visits to the hospital, helps pay for any hospital or dental treatment and also pays for physiotherapy during rehabilitation.

There are several restrictions that come with sports insurance, however. Normally, insurance does not cover an injury if the victim was not wearing proper protective gear, was under the influence of any drugs or if the incident occurred prior to the policy being taken out.
