Proscar Lawsuit

Proscar Lawsuit

Men who took prostate drug Proscar and suffered from certain side effects may be able to participate in a Proscar lawsuit to seek compensation for damages. Allegedly, the medication has been linked to permanent sexual dysfunction, breast cancer and prostate cancer, side effects which may not have been properly disclosed by the manufacturer. Because drug companies have a duty to provide adequate warnings, patients who used Proscar and were diagnosed with cancer or suffered from sexual side effects may be able to file a legal claim for compensation.

If you suffered from Proscar sexual side effects or were diagnosed with male breast or prostate cancer after taking the drug, you may be entitled to collect monetary damages for medical bills and other losses. To find out if you are eligible, complete our no cost, no risk case review form with details of your Proscar cancer or sexual side effects claim.

Proscar Erectile Dysfunction and Other Sexual Side Effects

Proscar has been linked to a number of sexual side effects. Although the manufacturer included decreased sexual desire and erectile dysfunction on the drug’s label, it may have mislead consumers into believing that these Proscar sexual side effects would go away after stopping the drug. Research has indicated that Proscar sexual side effects could last for months or years, even after discontinuing the drug.

If you developed any of the following Proscar sexual side effects after using the drug, complete our free case review form for a no risk evaluation of your claim:

  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Problems with orgasm
  • Loss of libido
  • Impotence
  • Decreased arousal
  • Testicular pain
  • Ejaculation problems

Proscar and Cancer

In addition to sexual side effects, Proscar has been linked to an increased risk of high-grade prostate cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. In June 2011, a Proscar FDA warning was released to alert patients to this link and to advise that new labels would be placed on Proscar, Propecia and other 5-alpha reducatase inhibitors to reflect this risk. Compared to low-grade cancer, Proscar high-grade prostate cancer associated with use of the drug spreads and grows more quickly. Symptoms which may indicate Proscar prostate cancer in users may include blood in the urine or semen; bone pain; difficulty urinating; leg swelling; discomfort in the pelvic areas; and decreased force in the stream of the urine. Although the Proscar cancer warning only pertained to tumors in the prostate gland, the drug has also been allegedly linked to male breast cancer, which can be indicated by breast lumps or pain, nipple discharge and breast enlargement.
