Posterior (Back) Knee Pain

Posterior knee pain is felt at the back of the knee. It is less common to injure this part of the knee, but biomechanical problems and other factors can damage this area of the knee. Soft tissue injuries are generally the cause of posterior knee pain, but nerve injuries are also a possibility.

Common posterior knee injuries include:

• Posterior cruciate ligament injury
• Bakers Cyst
• Hamstring Tendon Strain
