Personal injuries, under Oregon law, are when negligence, attacks, or accidents cause physical harm to someone. Personal Injuries may cause broken bones, cuts, bruises, or more serious medical conditions, such as comas, compound fractures, and even wrongful death. A personal injury can happen anywhere, including work, school or at a local shopping center. Common types of personal injury include:

This list is not exhaustive, as personal injury can occur almost anywhere. Oregon residents can file personal injury claims stemming from a defective drug, railroad accident, workplace accident or school bus accident. After sustaining a personal injury, the victim may suffer economic loss from expensive medical bills and lost wages, in addition to pain and suffering. If you or a loved one has been a victim of any personal injury in Oregon, such as a birth injury, burn injury or cruise ship injury, you should seek legal counsel to learn your rights. Contacting a Oregon personal injury lawyer can help you get the compensation you deserve.

All types of bodily injury may be regarded as a personal injury, and you can file a personal injury lawsuit in Oregon to recover damages from whoever is responsible for your injuries. Contact a local Personal Injury Lawyer in Oregon for help today.

Oregon State Flag

Oregon State Flag

Oregon's official state flag was adopted in 1925. It is the only US state flag that still has a design on both sides. Both sides of the flag have a deep blue background and yellow designs. The reverse of the flag pictures a beaver (Oregon's state animal). The front of thg flag features the words "STATE OF OREGON" and the year "1859," the year Oregon became a state. Between these is a heart-shaped seal that pictures a landscape with mountains, trees, elk, a covered wagon, and a British warship leaving and an American steamship arriving. The ships symbolize the transfer of the Oregon Territory from the British to the US in 1846, when President James K. Polk signed a treaty with England giving this territory to the United States. The covered wagon represents the early Oregon pioneers who traveled on the Oregon Trail to settle in Oregon.
