On Jan. 21, 2009, the popular car company agreed to suspend sales of the following recalled Toyota models:
Days after the January Toyota recall, another 1.1 million vehicles including the 2008-2010 Highlander; 2009-2010 Corolla; 2009-2010 Venza; 2009-2010 Matrix; and 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe, were added to a November floormat-related recall. In November, Toyota recalled 4.2 million vehicles over concerns that the floormat could entrap the gas pedal, leading to a sudden acceleration. Many of the vehicles are involved in both Toyota recalls including the 2009-2010 Toyota RAV4, Corolla and Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe; 2007-2010 Tundra; the 2005-2010 Avalon; 2010 Highlander; and the 2008-2010 Sequoia; and certain 2007-2010 Camrys.
