Medial (Inside) Knee Injuries


Pain in the medial or inside part of the knee is commonly caused by medial meniscus tears, which are considered a serious injury. When damage is done to this part of the knee, it becomes painful to squat or twist the knee in order to change directions. Other common ailments to this part of the knee are medial collateral ligament injuries, and arthritis of the joint.

Common medial knee injuries include:
