McNeil Recalls Certain Children's and Infants' OTC Products

Date: June 1, 2010By: H. Scott Bates

McNeil Consumer Healthcare has recalled all unexpired lots of several over-the-counter infants' and children's liquid products made in the United States and distributed in the following areas: United States, Canada, Dominican Republic, Dubai (UAE), Fiji, Guam, Guatemala, Jamaica, Kuwait, Puerto Rico and Trinidad and Tobago. McNeil issued the recall upon finding that some of these OTC products did not meet quality standards. The company stated that the recall was not initiated due to adverse medical events; however, McNeil advises, as a precautionary measure, parents should not give the recalled products to their children.
