Recovery in a lawsuit against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. Woman was widowed when her husband died from lung cancer. The total award after apportioning damages based on assignment of fault was $46.3 million.

In a case against R.J. Reynolds and Philip Morris, attorneys Keith Mitnik, Greg Prysock, Joe Taraska and Katy Massa recovered a $40 million tobacco litigation verdict on behalf of the husband and daughter of a woman who died after smoking two packs of cigarettes a day for 36 years. 

Negligent security verdict on behalf of former high school basketball star shot in the leg at an apartment complex.

Case involved a 39-year-old man who was struck by a dump truck. The client sustained knee, shoulder, hip, neck and back injuries resulting in arthroscopic surgeries on his knee, hip and shoulder.

Case involved a client who was injured when he slipped on a wet floor at a Kash N Karry in Tampa. Client had pre-existing back injuries, and aggravated his back and extruded a disc during the slip and fall accident. 

Recovery, upon appeal, of $682,000 against the city of Orlando for a trip-and-fall victim who was originally only awarded economic damages. 

Quadriplegic in wheelchair fell off loading ramp to cruise ship, after hours, fractured femor and knee.

Achieved on behalf of a 74-year-old client who was injured at a trailer park upon walking off the edge of a sidewalk due to defective lighting. The client suffered a segmental humeral fracture of the right dominant arm and had an open reduction internal fixation surgery.

Client tripped over upturned brick paver in back patio of condominium and sustained leg injury. Defendant argued maintenance of the patio area was client's responsibility. Client prevailed at trial by proving defendant condominium management company had failed to properly maintain common's area tree roots extending into walled patio area which had lifted up the brick pavers on the patio deck.

A soft tissue case against Allstate in which the client in the case sustained annular tears.

Plaintiff's jury verdict for an assault upon a bar patron for $185,000. 

Premises liability: $176,880 verdict for 70 year old client who slipped and fell at local Wal-Mart on her knee, resulting in two surgeries on her leg/knee before having a total knee replacement.

 Verdict for slip and fall accident victim. Injury was a broken patella.

Plaintiff was walking across a major roadway and was struck by defendant.  Defendant claimed she never saw client.  The defendant never stopped at the scene.

$94,000.00 dog bite verdict in Marion County.

4-year old child not properly supervised by staff of day care facility was found in playground with a fractured femur. No adults witnessed how the injury occurred. Liability was denied by defendant who felt child had fallen off monkey bars. Jury found the day care facility was negligent for not properly watching the child.

Client was in cross walk - crossing roadway when Defendant attempted to make left turn into Palmetto Palms trailer park, striking client on his bicycle.
