Medtronic Infuse Bone Graft Lawsuits

Infuse Bone Graft Complications

The Medtronic Infuse bone graft is FDA-approved for use in the lower lumbar spine, but has allegedly been used in surgeries involving the upper neck. When used in off-label procedures, the device can reportedly result in a number of Infuse bone graft complications, including male infertility and death. These Infuse bone graft complications were allegedly understated by the manufacturer, who may have also promoted off-label use of the Infuse to the medical community.

If you or a loved one suffered from Infuse bone graft complications after a cervical spine surgery, you may be able to seek financial compensation in a claim against the manufacturer. To find out if a Medtronic Infuse bone graft lawsuit is an option for you, complete our free, no risk case evaluation form today.

Medtronic Infuse Problems

The Spine Journal reported that research which supported the use of the product was “biased and corrupted." The medical journal alleged that these studies were authored by researchers who had financial ties to the Medtronic and understated the severity and frequency of Medtronic Infuse bone graft complications. Specifically, it was reported that in 13 clinical trials funded by the manufacturer, no Medtronic Infuse complications were disclosed. However, research provided to U.S. regulators indicated that as many as half of patients experienced Medtronic infuse problems, such as cancer, pain, cyst formation, infection, pain and male sterility. Infuse bone graft complications may also include swelling of tissue in the neck and throat which can lead to difficulty swallowing and breathing.

Infuse Bone Graft Lawsuits
