Personal injuries, under Indiana law, are when negligence, attacks, or accidents cause physical harm to someone. Personal Injuries may cause broken bones, cuts, bruises, or more serious medical conditions, such as comas, compound fractures, and even wrongful death. A personal injury can happen anywhere, including work, school or at a local shopping center. Common types of personal injury include:

This list is not exhaustive, as personal injury can occur almost anywhere. Indiana residents can file personal injury claims stemming from a defective drug, railroad accident, workplace accident or school bus accident. After sustaining a personal injury, the victim may suffer economic loss from expensive medical bills and lost wages, in addition to pain and suffering. If you or a loved one has been a victim of any personal injury in Indiana, such as a birth injury, burn injury or cruise ship injury, you should seek legal counsel to learn your rights. Contacting a Indiana personal injury lawyer can help you get the compensation you deserve.

All types of bodily injury may be regarded as a personal injury, and you can file a personal injury lawsuit in Indiana to recover damages from whoever is responsible for your injuries. Contact a local Personal Injury Lawyer in Indiana for help today.

Indiana State Flag

Indiana State Flag

The official state flag of Indiana was adopted in 1917. It was designed by Paul Hadley of Mooresville, Indiana; he won a flag design contest sponsored by the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) for Indiana's 100th anniversary of statehood in 1916. There are 19 golden stars on a blue field. The 13 stars in the outer circle represent the 13 original colonies of the United States of America; the 5 stars in a half circle represent the states admitted prior to Indiana (but after the original 13), and the larger star atop the flame of the torch of Liberty represents Indiana.
