Forefoot pain refers to abnormalities and discomfort on the top of the foot. Pain originating in this area usually involves the metatarsal bones, the five long bones that connect the foot's arch to the toes, or the sesamoid bones, the two small bones that connect to the big toe.

Forefoot injuries include:
