Broken Bones

Breaks in bones are often the result of intense force or stress placed on the body. A broken bone should be stabilized so that it can heal properly. A splint or cast is often applied.

Broken bones are classified as a contraindication, which means they should not be massaged because it will only cause more damage to the injury and slow the healing process. A broken bone is accompanied by internal bleeding in the affected area. Massaging the area only increases the amount of bleeding and causes pain.
